About Me

Hi. I’m a creative director, writer and filmmaker. In 2018 I co-founded Vision Thing - a creative consultancy that creates kickass content for ambitious clients. We work with some of New Zealand’s biggest and most-loved brands, like Air New Zealand and Tip Top.

Before Vision Thing I oversaw Air New Zealand’s global creative account at True. During that time, I lead a creative department that was responsible for creating hundreds of campaigns in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, North America and Asia. Before moving to New Zealand I worked at agencies in London and Paris.

My advertising work has been recognised at award schemes around the world including Cannes Lions, D&AD, AWARD, One Show, Best Awards, DMAs, Campaign BIG, Epica, Clios, Effies and YouTube awards.

I’ve directed commercials, content and music videos for some of New Zealand’s biggest brands and best bands. In 2019 I won Best Music Video at the Aotearoa Music Awards.

My music videos have been screened at film festivals all over the world, including New York State Film Festival, Show Me Short, Austin Music Video Festival, Horror-Fi and London Music Video Festival. I was also guest judge on TVNZ’s Survive The 80s for the ‘Make a Music Video’ episode. Which was great fun, but I am now getting a lot of hate mail.

I studied at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London where I gained a BA (Hons) in Theatre Studies and Puppetry. No, that’s not a joke. Someone needs to learn how to make and manipulate puppets. Otherwise they’ll die out. And we wouldn’t want that, would we?
